ONE NOTE AT A TIME
Holmegaard has always been synonymous with unique glass design and a passion for glass craftsmanship. In 2025, we celebrate a passionate dedication to glass design over 200 years with the Notes wine glass series designed by the renowned wine connoisseur and glass designer Tom Nybroe, where every little detail has been refined to perfection to make a big difference.
Wine the Right Way
With new groundbreaking shapes and lines, Notes is a meeting between anchoring and renewal created in the well-known Holmegaard quality according to entirely new principles and methods. The name Notes is of course no coincidence. It refers to the diverse world of tasting notes that wine lovers love to cultivate and enjoy.
Taking an interest in wine — exploring regions, grape varieties, and vineyards as a true passion — is becoming more popular than ever. If you are already on a journey to discover the fascinating world of wine and refine your personal taste and style, the Notes series will be the perfect companion for your continued exploration.

Holmegaard Notes is a series of wine glasses crafted to elevate the wine experience to an entirely new level. With the Notes series, you get the finest in wine glass design, meticulously created to bring out the full potential of every sip. The refined, thin-walled elegance, slender stem, and impressive uniform height across the entire Notes collection create a sense of majestic sophistication on the table while ensuring perfect balance in hand.
The Pursuit of Perfection in Every Sip
The Notes series has been developed and designed by Tom Nybroe, whose curiosity, perfectionism, and relentless pursuit of pushing the boundaries of glassmaking have elevated Holmegaard’s wine glass tradition to new heights in today’s wine world.
"In my work with Notes, which I started several years ago, I have set myself the goal of achieving and fulfilling all the desires and requirements that I have encountered and imposed on myself over the years in my efforts to achieve the ultimate, which should provide the finest experience with wine." - Tom Nybroe

The three wine glasses are designed to accommodate all needs. Each glass’s shape and surface area are carefully calibrated to optimize wine development, making them suitable for both white and red wines. Acidic, fruit-forward white wines benefit from the smaller glass with a narrow top that preserves their character, while full-bodied, oak-aged Chardonnays flourish in the larger glasses, where the Burgundy glass allows ample space for development. Delicate, aged red wines can open up in the white wine glass, as they require less aeration. It is recommended to first test them in a smaller glass and move to a larger one if the wine’s potential calls for it.
