DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TEAK MONKEYS
The monkey’s expression and 'personality' develops over time. Over time, the impact of light and air will change any color nuances in the teak into a more uniform, golden brown warm tone.
Plantation teak has been used to make the monkey since 1992, as a sustainable alternative to rainforest teak. We only use responsibly produced teak from FSC® certified plantations in our production.
By using plantation teak, we contribute to responsible logging, and preserve the rainforest and wildlife. By nature, the teak has an uneven quality with a colorful appearance, and is described as a living natural product.
The color structure is characterized by the soil conditions in the growth area, including various minerals, which means that the wood can be dark, light, wax yellow, or grey-green when freshly cut. Color variations therefore appear as a natural phenomenon and are not a parameter of poor quality.
It is important to note that, after cutting, the wood undergoes a color maturation process, allowing it to become more uniform over time when exposed to light and air.
