About the designer

JETTE FRÖLICH

Known for her beautiful Christmas designs and uniquely elegant Scandinavian-style motifs, Jette Frölich began designing paper decorations back in 1966. In 1976, she was asked by Copenhagen's Illums Bolighus whether she wanted to be that year’s Christmas artist, and since 1980 she has been translating the key themes of Christmas into simple motifs for Holmegaard's annual Christmas collection.

JETTE FRÖLICH

Every year, Jette Frölich creates a new design collection in her simple, refined and romantic style. Jette Frölich’s many years of paper cuttings and Christmas decorations and her classic Christmas motifs fit perfectly onto glass from Holmegaard’s Christmas series. Here, motifs typical of a Danish Christmas adorn Christmas cookie jars, Christmas bottles, tealight holders and tumblers.

Holmegaard’s Christmas collection has become a tradition and a much-loved collector’s item for many Christmas fans, where Jette Frölich’s classic Christmas motifs help spread original and authentic Christmas coziness in the home. She finds inspiration for her work in the nature around her and on her many travels around the world.
